Wednesday, October 16, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Royal Rush. Queens Hit the Dock! at the Lost Kitchen Supper Club, 6810 Front Street, Stock Island. This is the crescendo event for the Karen for Queen campaign. Nestled on the dock at Safe Harbour Marina, Stock Island, is the Lost Supper Kitchen Club, a speakeasy just off the beaten path. Here you will be serenaded by the reigning Queen Mother, Vanna Black, aka Ronnie Carruthers with his 3SUM ensemble. The night will be one of drinks and exquisite hors d’oeuvres, made by local Chef Martin Liz. A highlight of the event will be special guest artist Johnny White of Mile Zero Magazine. Johnny will be showing his Lenticular work (3D photographs) of Key West Drag Queens, upstairs at Collections Gallery. Sunday, September 1, 4PM – 6:30 PMTea Dance at La Te Da, 1125 Duval Street. Come out to historical La Te Da for a traditional Sunday evening Tea Dance before you start your Monday grind.  Dance by the pool and wait for your number to be called in our 50/50 raffle and put your bid in on our silent auction to win some fantastic prizes!  Admission is free. Saturday, September 7, 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00) The (not so) Newlywed and The Dating Game presented by Comedy Key West in the Blue Room at the BottleCap Lounge, 1128 Simonton Street. Local couples prove they are the “newlywed’est” couple in Key West. Then laugh along with our bachelors and bachelorettes as they try to win a date with an “incognito” gamester on the other side of the curtain. Hosted by local comedians at BottleCap Lounge – $15, available in advance at www.comedykeywest.com.  A portion of the proceeds goes to Karen for Queen

REGISTER TODAY | Now Friday, Sept. 27, 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM A Midsummer Night’s Magic at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden, 5210 College Road.  Created by David (DJ) Johnson, Scott Gerke and Michael Shields, this magical, night will be a delight for all of your senses. You will be greeted with a special Pilar Rum cocktail, then taken for a walk through the moonlit forest to the other side of the pond. Waiting there will be mystics, magic, music and dancing – and lots of surprises. Dessert, cheese and fruit bar; open bar. Costumes encouraged. Thursday, September 19, Doors open at 6:00 PM Vibrator Races at Mary Ellen’s Bar, 420 Applerouth Lane.  Vroom vroom! Fire them up and let them … um … wiggle their way to the finish line. Vibrators (yes, that kind) in all shapes and sizes race down the track. Bid on your favorite, and you own that one for the race. Remember, big isn’t always better, and sometimes, the slowest to the finish line wins. Admission is free.  50% of the pot of each race to the winner / 50% to Karen for Queen

Saturday, September 28, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PMMojitos with a Splash! A pool party in the unique backyard oasis at the home of Susan and Bruce Mitchell, 824 Terry Lane, and co-hosted by Megan Burgess, Chris Seymour, Tara Hemphill, Laura Gabby and Doug Fehrman. This is sure to be special experience and a party you won’t want to miss! Price includes live music, food and open bar to include bottomless mojito’s made with Papa’s Pilar Blonde Rum, generously donated by Hemingway Rum Company.  Don’t forget to bring you swim suit!  – $40 suggested donation. Royal Furniture installed a beautiful, new kitchen at the home of Steve McDaniel and BethAnn Parker, 1710 Bahama Drive, and they want to show it off with a party to benefit my campaign! Friday, October 4, 6:00 PM — Orchids in Paradise at The Curry Mansion, 511 Caroline Street. Presented by Bobbie Cotton, Sharon Hirsch and Kevin Assam, generously sponsored by Phil and Patsy Amsterdam, and food by the Iron Chefs. Open bar.  Bucky Montgomery will be the auctioneer. We will be offering unique and unusual pots, decorated by well know local artists, celebrities and children, and filled with beautiful orchids. A brown thumb?
